Women’s Seniors
Premierships: 2011,2012
Our History
The Balmain Women’s Football Club formed in 1999 and entered the Sydney Women's AFL competition in 2000 as a foundation member.
Playing the first year as Glebe they would go on to become the Balmain Tigers in 2001 and then the Balmain Dockers in 2008. The club would claim back-to-back premierships in 2011 and 2012, and finish runners up in 2013. The team ceased playing at the end of 2015.
In 2021 we made an attempt to re-establish, but the pandemic and our preparation were tested.
2026: A new beginning
A great opportunity to get onboard and help form a new club in Women’s AFL in Sydney.
Today, we are working to re-enter the Sydney AFL competition in the 2026 season, prioritising the Women’s Senior team, with growth into a Women’s under 20s team in the following seasons.
Recruitment has already begun, looking for new female players, ready to play Senior Women’s football in 2026.
An introductory offer will be in place for at least Season 1, this likely being $95, including full playing kit (socks, shorts & guernsey), player insurance & training top.
