2025 Pre-season Training is underway
Tuesdays at Balmain Road Sporting Ground, Lilyfield.
Thursdays at Algie Park, Haberfield.
Arrive 6.15pm for your warm-up and 6.30pm start.
From 19 November 2024 for five weeks to the summer break, we train as one. All men, women, girls, boys, masters and prospective players are welcome to participate and experience our culture.
We recommence 21 January for 11 weeks of pre-season culminating with round 1 on 5 April. From mid-February, training will divide into squads.
Bring runners, boots and hydration for strength and conditioning, skills sessions and match simulation.
Players to register with our TeamApp for training, game and club operations.

We are thrilled to announce we have been collaborating with our local juniors clubs and will be forming a men’s under 19.5 team for the 2025 season.

13 April 2023 - Vale Cecil “Cec” Quilkey
Cec played 328 games for Balmain between 1952 and 1973, not missing a single match in his first 200.
A slightly built rover, he amassed over 600 goals during his playing career, won best and fairest 4 times, captained for 3 seasons and captain-coached in his final year.
He was the club’s leading goal kicker 8 times, represented Sydney once and NSW twice. He was runner up in the prestigious Phelan Medal on 4 occasions.
We pass on our deepest respects and our thoughts are with his friends and family at this sad time.

All training sessions are at Glover Street Oval, Lilyfield. Meet at the Wharf Road end.
Men’s team training is from 6.15pm every Tuesday and Thursday, commencing from 11th of April
Masters team training is from 7pm every Thursday, from 13th of April. Meet at Glover St end.
All Men’s, Women’s, Master’s and prospective players welcome. New Players Welcome - all experience or abilities.
