  • Level up the teams

  • No scoring

  • Opponent match-ups.

  • Arm bands for over 60s that do not tackle, nor want to be tackled, and generally stay off ball contest.

  • Stay for a social together afterwards

  4. Hunter Hornets (Newcastle, Port Stephens)

  6. Maroubra Saints (2026 trying to establish)

  7. Mustangs (never played)

  8. North Coast Sharks (Coffs Harbour)

  10. Sydney Rocks (over 50s on Sundays only at Warwick Farm)

  12. Sydney Women’s AFL Masters (partnership between Balmain and Newtown Breakaways).

We are the only club to play in both the NSW AFL Masters social and the AFL Sydney Masters competition formats. We pay to be in both and offer the maximium amount of choice for our members to play footy at the level of seriousness they choose.

AFL Sydney over 35s Competition

  • Competitive with well-established clubs.

  • Dedicated Balmain coach and physio and sports trainer support

  • Training is necessary

  • Some modified rules including no knees up when jumping.

  • Arm bands for over 60s that do not tackle, nor want to be tackled, and generally stay off ball contest.
