Troy Luff plays 500th game

Troy Luff played his 500th senior game over the weekend and was a key figure in the 100 point win over the East Coast Eagles with 3 goals.

A soiree of local and international reporters and photographers were on hand to catch Luffs remarkable achievement as he took to the field for the 500th time and according to Luff he’s not giving up anytime soon.

In other news Luffy worked through his 745th hangover on the Sunday.

Janda to Coach Div 5 Team

We are excited to announce that Ian Janda will take on the role of 5th Division Coach in 2016.

Janda is a Balmain stalwart and has played with us for many years. A talented sportsman in both footy and cricket, Janda says he is looking forward to the challenge of developing the 5th Division team. His plan is to build the skills and game sense of the team that comprises of a mix of new players and yesterdays heroes. He is also keen to make the team a much more cohesive and competitive unit.

We have 2 more training sessions this year and training will resume in 2016 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from January 19 at Mahoney Oval. All new and existing players of all abilities and experience are welcome.

Impressive numbers at training

The last couple of Training sessions have seen great numbers at Pre-season training.  We’re getting a solid turn out from old and new players which is great to see.

The Bay Run is proving to be very popular amongst the boys with fantastic harbour views!

For those that have been around Balmain for awhile,  getting 30+ players to pre-season training, in November, is unheard of!

2016 is looking to be a very good year for the Tigers.

Well done Gents!
